ENGAGEMENT

Oranjestad, Aruba | September 15, 2011 | 124 feet under the sea surface

Brad proposed to Lindsey last September while vacationing together in Aruba.  As they embarked on their trip, Lindsey was clueless about Brad's secret mission.  While he knew he wanted to propose, he wasn't quite sure how he wanted to do it.  He stayed calm and collected the entire week, even as he sent the briefcase containing the ring through multiple security scanners and left it out of the safe in the hotel room (so that she wouldn't find it)!

After a few days of mai tai sipping and sun worshipping (or sun avoiding in Brad's case), Brad came up with his final plan on how to propose.  Brad, known for occasionally pulling over-the-top stunts, saw this opportunity as no exception to do something big.  One early morning, he told Lindsey they'd be going on a submarine dive at 8am.  Since a large group scheduled to join them had canceled, no one else was coming with them on the dive, or so Lindsey was told.  As they dove deeper into the sea on their private submarine excursion, amongst sea turtles, schools of tropical fish and eels, they were getting closer to the big moment.  Upon touching down on the sea floor, the crew scattered out of view.  Brad then dug out a small box from his pocket, opened it and asked Lindsey if she would be his wife.  Of course she said, "yes!" and they spent the rest of the week on the beach celebrating their engagement.
